You say it's x64. but in another reply you say it's 32 bit. 64 bit should work. I've never had or needed a 64 bit machine, so anything I'd say about 64 bit card that required a larger power supply than the machine had. That right there will seriously impair things a mis matched video card with a power supply.

I have to be able to run two old DOS applications (NOT games), but Vista 64bit does not have NTVDM (NT Virtual DOS Machine) and therefore doesn't run DOS software. I'm mainly using SONAR for my mastering now, though I'm pretty sure Sound Forge 8 (which is the version of SF I have these days) supports the 64-bit files. However, I find SoundForge often chokes on heavy duty plug-ins that work just fine with equivalent files and plug-in chains inside SONAR.

Any help in this area will be appreciated. Best regards, Olivier. All you need to take care of is that you register your COM server DLL's using the right version of regsvr32.exe. The 32-bit DLL must be registered with the 32-bit version of regsvr32 (%windir%\syswow64), while the 64-bit version must be registered
